Ostfriesland

Ostfriesland is a cultural region bordering the North Sea and encompassing the coastal marshlands and East Frisian Islands (Ostfriesische Inseln) of northwestern Lower Saxony Land (state), north-central Germany. The region includes the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park.

It is one of the favorite regions for many German people to spend their holiday on the coast or on one of the East Frisian Islands. There are a large number of bicycle-, walking- and canoe routes to be found here. There are even combined bicycle/canoe routes.
